Stronger Purpose helped me transform my vision into my business. Once I decided to open my events venue in 2018, the thought of developing a business plan and website was as daunting task for me, especially with all that I had going on in both my personal and professional life including working a full-time job, going to school and making time for my husband and 12 grandchildren.
While I thought I knew how to get my business up and to run, especially since I earned my degree in business management with a minor in marketing, I would quickly realize that starting a small business outside the classroom is much more challenging than I expected.
After talking with several friends and co-workers, the Stronger Purpose came up several times, so I reached out for consultation. Our initial meeting was over the phone since we lived in different states. At first, I didn’t feel comfortable working with someone outside my city, because having that face-to-face contact is essential to me. However, Faheemah, the founder, quickly addressed my concerns and after our first conversation, I was all in.
Faheemah came out the gate running and immediately gave me some homework to get me thinking about my purpose of starting a business. The following week, we met again to discuss what my answer, and after a brief discussion and some feedback, it was at that time that I made a commitment to invest in myself and my business and hired Stronger Purpose to help me through the challenges of getting my business up and running, because I realized that I genuinely did not know as much as I thought I did and needed help.
While I do have some knowledge of business, I don’t have the time or patience to do everything that is needed to start a success business, such as researching the industry and legal matters that comes with being a small business owner. Some of the challenges that Stronger Purpose removed from my plate were developing a business and marketing plan, researching both the events venue and events planning industries, research on partnering industries such as caterers, photographers, events coordinators, etc. Not to mention designing a website and the importance of protecting personal data and trademarking. Well, these are questions that I did not have the answers too, but Stronger Purpose did!
You see, hiring Stronger Purpose to assist me with getting my business started ultimately blessed me with a business coach and mentor while going through the process. Without the support and guidance of Stronger Purpose, I know for a fact that I would not be starting my business Elite Events STL, LLC, and opening my events venue in 2020.
